Hallstatt has got to be one of my favourite places that we travelled to in Europe. I could wander through this town all day exploring back roads, peeking in little shops and walking up to the most gorgeous cemetery on the top of the village and gazing over this picturesque place. For those Sound of Music fans out there (including me!) this was one of the places in which the film was shot. On the day we visited this little village it was EXTREMELY hot, like I'm talking Australian summers hot...in Austria?! So, after exploring the village we jumped back in the car and drove to Wolfgangsee Lake in which we jumped in off a private wharf to cool down. We then went to a little coffee shop for iced chocolate afterwards. Yum!!
